What can I say-it's post traumatic stress day. After looking forward to Idol all these weeks, there are no more scheduled appearances to look forward to.
What a post-Idol let down- thank God for VCRs and Youtube!

Hi Barry, gorgeous you were, gorgeous you will always be! You were masterful! Glad to know you are being appreciated, never forgotten. Wished the contestants had chosen different songs, they didn't select the best for each of their limitations, or their individual talents...the American Idol Machine continues to blow my mind! I try to remain positive...but where is the spirit?

Lovely to see and hear you on American Idol. I would have liked to have been able to hear you sing more songs. And I just loved your see-thru black shirt!!!! :) It was a different experience for you and for me...For me, it was your first tv appearance after I had met you for the very first time! Dear Barry
You were no "small part", but the main attraction!!!!!! Wonderful to see you in your element. Two things: (1) I think you and you (and Brothers) alone can sing BeeGees, no disrespect to the contestants--Hard for one person to do 3 part harmony... and 2. Mo (and Robin's) non-presence, (at least in bodily form)...made be cry. I miss Mo (smile, hat, beautiful laughing eyes, great butt (blush :)) and charming sense of humour)
That said, You were amazing! What a gracious tutor! and you know those of us who are fortunate enough to know BeeGees music, were holding our collective breath waiting for you to whisper out the final words of "Words"

You looked wonderful and were absolutely fantastic when you sang on the "American Idol" stage last evening! We definitely got "chills!" We would love to see you continue this trend now...got to see more of Barry Gibb singing and continue using the beautiful gifts that God has given to you!

It was a BLAST watching you on America Idol last night. I wasn't sure if you would be singing, but I stayed tuned just in case. To my surprise, not only did you sing, but you sang one of my favorites, "To Love Somebody." You STILL have that wonderfully "breathy" and "emotional" singing voice that I can't get enough of! Just LOVE IT! I hope that you accept more invitations like this to perform so that we can see you more often. Barry, What a treat to see you on Idol. One of my lifelong dreams has been to be a "fly on the wall" in the studio as you produce music - to witness your interaction with artists as you draw them out. And, if only in snippits on Idol, I was able to see this. Your songs are tough to cover, the contestents had a challenge to be sure. I'm grateful to see your music covered on a show with such a huge following - it is my hope this experience has introduced a whole new generation to the TIMELESS music of the Brothers Gibb. I have to tell you, today is Friday and I still can't get that song, "Danger Zone", sung on AI this week by Blake, out of my head. I think it is a song whose time has come. I really could see Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban, a male, youthful and sexy, singing it. I will be 60 this year so I know if that song is sticking and replaying in my head, 'somethin is up with that'!

More viewers watched American Idol on May 9th and 10th, than any other episode. All because of YOU!!! You are such a legend.
All the contestants were good, Jordin is my favorite, followed by Blake.......as good as these 'kids' are, NO ONE can do any BeeGee song the way You, Robin and Mo have done them......The contestants' medley of some of your catalogue was such a tribute to you and your brothers.....Bravo to American Idol for having YOU on, and displaying the "overwhelming" brillance of the BeeGees' music. I love what a previous fan said - Thanks for Being! That's exactly how I feel. Those of us who remember good music really need you. You have provided me with the music I never tire of ....beautiful songs, melodies, lyrics, harmony, beat and arrangements. I never tire of seeing you perform a song. I have a hard time hearing other perform your songs and I have a hard time listening to most today's music.

As a 42 year old married mother of two growing boys, life can be pretty hectic here at our house. We're always on the go whether it be demanding work schedules, the boys' baseball practice, or the usual household chores. However, everything stopped Wednesday night because "my Barry" was featured on American Idol! My husband and my boys were stunned as I actually turned off my cell phone so I could give your performance my complete and undivided attention! I think in yesteryear they called it swooning! You looked and sounded terrific and you brought back many happy memories to me. At 9:00 PM the hectic pace resumed. But for those few moments, I was transported back in time when I was young and carefree. Thank you so much! My 11 year old and six year old sons have been listening to the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack since the show! Another generation of fans in the making! Please know that your music and performances have brought much joy to my life!

Barry, when it was first announced that you were going to be on AI, I was surprised but very pleased and looked forward for weeks to last Tues & Wed nights shows. What i saw is what i liked. Loved your inputs and your outputs (we won't mention the out-takes;-)) Never seen American Idol before but you certainly made it interesting viewing. A lifetime dream come true to have met you back stage at Idol. I was crying and singing along with you as was my entire row. Brought me back to Dodger Stadium 1979. You are so gracious and gifted. Barry, do you know what your next endeavor will be? It was so good to see you after all these years, you make us true fans want more and more!! I would love for you and Robin to do another tour! If so, please come to the Rochester, New York area. I saw you in 1979 in Buffalo, New York when you did the Spirits Having Flown Tour and enjoyed every second of it. I was quite far away and since it was my first concert, I didn't realize I needed binoculars to see you good, but it was one of the most memorable events of my life. I will never forget it. Barry it has been a couple weeks now since your American Idol performance and as I watched the final episode and heard all the guests thought how lucky I was to have heard you perform and watch you blow the audience away. The years may be passing by but that magical spark is still within you.

You gave an outstanding performance for someone who considers himself first and foremost a songwriter. All songwriters should be so blessed.

I hope with the release of your country album that you consider live performances once more. I want a chance to see you sing in person.

Hey Barry you showed everyone at AI how it should be done-from your falsetto demo for Lakisha to your emotive performance of TLS. You are and always have been such a class act. I can count the two times I have seen the Bee Gees in concert amongst the highlights of my life. A Great performer always leaves the audience wanting more and you certainly accomplished that. Oh Barry, Thank you so much for your wonderful performance on AI. I recorded your performance on our DVR and play it over and over. My husband and I have actually danced to "Our Song" several times.
